Example Locations tab in Preferences

In Visual Studio, navigate to Tools > Options > Xamarin > Android
Settings
to view and set the Android SDK location:

Example Locations tab in Preferences

The default location for every path is as follows:

  • Java Development Kit Location:

    C:Program FilesJavajdk1.8.0_131

  • Android SDK Location:

    C:Program Files (x86)Androidandroid-sdk

  • Android NDK Location:

    C:ProgramDataMicrosoftAndroidNDK64android-ndk-r13b

Note that the model variety of the NDK could differ. For instance, as a substitute
of android-ndk-r13b, it might be an earlier model corresponding to
android-ndk-r10e.

To set the Android SDK location, enter the complete path of the Android SDK
listing into the Android SDK Location field. You can navigate to
the Android SDK location in File Explorer, copy the trail from the
tackle bar, and paste this path into the Android SDK Location field.
For instance, in case your Android SDK location is at
C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalAndroidSdk, clear the previous
path within the Android SDK Location field, paste on this path, and click on
OK.
